In 2012, the social web had exploded, but the first video had yet to be uploaded to Facebook or Instagram. Incubated at Lerer Ventures in New York, NowThis News was a first-of-its-kind social/mobile video news organization that natively leveraged mobile applications, and innovated totally new production styles that are commonplace today. NowThis was acquired by Group Nine Media in 2017, and continues to operate as a standalone media brand and production studio—spreading news, information, and fun to millions of followers around the web.
